Sad news

On October 7, 2005 ICRN"s oldest member, Derk Gerritsen passed away  in his sleep at age 87. He was enthusiastic about our organization and thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone in Edmonton, China and Brazil. Derk's health had deteriorated significantly in the last year which is why he could not travel to Italy. True to his character, he died as well as he lived, at home in bed.
A memorial fund has been established in Derk's  name. With the funds raised we hope to cover some expenses for students who otherwise could not afford to attend our congresses. A committee will make the decision on how the funds are to be allocated.
